With one of the most anticipated royal weddings on the horizon between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and with Princess Eugenie of York's impending nuptials to follow, we could not help but wonder about the weddings of their ancestors, and other royals alike, that came before them.

We're not just talking about Duke and Duchess of Cambridge-though they may be the most epic of modern royal nuptials next to the wedding of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana of Wales. 

Royal weddings, as we know, have a certain protocol that is expected to adhere to.
